The Lighthouse Veterinary Clinic’s Most Frequently Asked Questions
Which puppy and kitten series schedule does Lighthouse follow?
Lighthouse follows the AAHA guidelines for both puppy and kitten vaccine series. Click here to learn more.
If I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, what do I need to do?
We understand life happens, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us a 24-hour notice to avoid our No Show/Same Day Cancellation Fee of $75. This helps us ensure a spot is open in enough time for a pet in need.
Do you provide allergy testing?
Although we do not offer allergy testing, we do see and treat canine and feline allergy symptoms with several different oral and injectable outpatient therapies.
What type of preventions to do you recommend?
We have several great preventions that we recommend for pet owners. If pet owners are looking for an all-in-one heartworm prevention and flea control, we offer Simperica Trio. Other owners that have busier schedules or pets that are harder to pill, we have Pro-Heart 12 which is an injectable heartworm prevention that’s good for one year! Most pet parents partner this with Bravecto which is a single pill good for 3 months of flea and tick control.
What Heartworm treatment do we abide by?
We abide by the American Heartworm Association recommendations.
